The Authority participated at the Botswana Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF)’s Compliance & Governance Conference 2026, held under the theme “Building Trust, Enhancing Security & Advancing Accountability in Botswana’s Financial and Digital Economy.”
The Authority’s Acting Chief Executive Officer Mr Mooketsi Ramanteba joined fellow regulators and industry leaders for a Panel discussion focused on: National Regulatory Update Regulators’ Priorities for 2026/27 , which explored how effective regulation, supervision and industry collaboration can strengthen trust in Botswana’s financial and digital ecosystem.
During the discussion, Mr Ramanteba outlined the Authority’s commitment to a more forward-looking, risk-based supervision as the non-bank financial sector becomes increasingly diverse and interconnected.
