PATIENT PATHWAY
From diagnosis to treatment and follow-up
Medical oncology care is individualized according to cancer type, stage, pathology, biomarker findings, previous treatment, performance status and patient goals.

Consultation & Staging
Review of pathology, imaging, clinical status, comorbidities and prior treatment to define the clinical problem.

Treatment Planning
An evidence-based systemic treatment plan is selected and coordinated with surgery, radiation oncology and supportive services when indicated.

Treatment Delivery
Therapy is administered in the infusion center or private rooms with nursing observation, pharmacy support and monitoring for treatment-related effects.

Response & Follow-up
Clinical review, laboratory testing and imaging are used to assess response, manage toxicity and adjust treatment when necessary.

Dr. Lana leads the Medical Oncology service at Cameroon Oncology Center, coordinating evidence-based systemic cancer treatment and working closely with the multidisciplinary oncology team.
Comprehensive assessment and treatment planning for adult cancer patients.
Selection and supervision of chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and hormonal therapy.
Coordination with Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Imaging, Histopathology, Pharmacy, Nutrition and Psycho-Oncology.
Monitoring treatment response, treatment tolerance and supportive-care needs.
Participation in multidisciplinary tumor-board review and complex-case discussions.
COC has implemented more than 30 systemic-treatment protocols to support consistent, evidence-based cancer care across common malignancies.
