Tasmanian Polar Network celebrates their 30th anniversary with a reception at Government House.

Hobart’s Antarctic community came together to celebrate a frosty milestone last month! The Tasmanian Polar Network (TPN) marked over 30 years of connecting people to the southern continent with a reception fit for the occasion – held at none other than Government House.

Current and past members, including a reunion of nearly all the TPN chairs, filled the historic building. Her Excellency the Honourable Barbara Baker, Governor of Tasmania, kicked things off by highlighting Hobart’s deep ties to Antarctica.
