Counselling & Psychosocial Services
Brief Overview of Counselling & Psychosocial Services
Since its inception in 1988, SHE has been dedicated to providing mental health and psychosocial support services. In 1995, the Counseling and Psychosocial Services Department was formally established within the organization. We provide confidential, compassionate, and professional support to individuals, families, and communities to enhance mental wellbeing, strengthen coping skills, and promote resilience. Through counseling, psychosocial interventions, and awareness programs, we strive to create a safe space where people can seek support and thrive.
The department offers a range of professional services to promote mental wellbeing and address emotional, social, and psychological needs, including:
Individual Counseling (face-to-face & telephone): Confidential one-to-one support for individuals experiencing emotional difficulties, stress, grief, relationship concerns, and other psychosocial challenges.
Family and Relationship Support: Strengthening communication, understanding, and coping within families and relationships.
Psychosocial Support (PSS): Emotional and practical assistance to help individuals and communities cope with crises and life transitions.
Support Groups and Group Interventions: Facilitating group therapeutic interventions that provide connection, shared learning, and mutual support.
Awareness and Community Engagement Beyond clinical services, SHE actively raises public awareness through IEC and BCC informational materials on current psychosocial issues. Our aim is to reduce stigma, strengthen social connectedness, and promote the overall health and wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities.
We also play a vital role in responding to national emergencies, providing immediate psychosocial support to clients in crisis.
