Bahrain’s property pipeline is busy heading into late 2026. With real-estate projects worth more than US $26 billion in development according to the Bahrain Economic Development Board, plus a fresh wave of government-backed housing and new plots from major developers, there’s a lot for buyers and investors to track. Here are the new property projects in Bahrain for 2026 worth knowing about — and what they mean for you.
A US $26 billion development pipeline
Bahrain currently has real-estate projects valued at over US $26 billion in the pipeline, spanning residential communities, mixed-use districts and infrastructure. That scale reflects continued momentum under Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and steady private-sector participation — a healthy backdrop whether you’re buying a home or investing for yield.
New social-housing projects in Salman City
Three new housing projects in Salman City are delivering 137 homes under the government’s social-housing programme, with reservations open through the off-plan sales route. They’re being built via public–private partnerships with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning:
Naseej & Al Moayyed Contracting Group — 24 units
Delmon Gate — 69 units
Bahrain First Real Estate Development — 44 units
These fall under Bahrain’s Government Land Development Rights Programme , which expands housing supply while bringing in private developers — part of a broader push that also includes housing packages announced for around 7,000 citizens .
Diyar Al Muharraq unveils new residential plots
Leading developer Diyar Al Muharraq is showcasing a new selection of residential plots at the second Innovation Summit in the Social Housing Sector 2026 , running 29 September – 3 October at Exhibition World Bahrain . Diyar is one of the Kingdom’s largest master-planned communities and a hotspot for waterfront living — see our feature on Marassi & Diyar Al Muharraq(https://propertyxplore.com/XploreInsights/marassi-diyar-al-muharraq-apartments-for-rent-by-the-sea/).
What this means for buyers and investors
More supply and more off-plan launches mean more choice and competitive entry prices — but also the need to buy carefully.
