Regatta gets Guaranteed Irish symbol
Regatta Great Outdoors Ireland has been awarded the Guaranteed Irish symbol in recognition of the brand’s contribution to the Irish market. Following a rigorous application process, the clothing brand has been certified Guaranteed Irish and approved to use the trust symbol based on four main criteria: jobs, community, provenance and sustainability.
Guaranteed Irish CEO Bríd O’Connell said: “We welcome Regatta Great Outdoors to Guaranteed Irish. With 36 storefronts across the country and a dedicated Irish site, Regatta has become a vital part of the Irish retail ecosystem, supporting local jobs and communities while making the outdoors more accessible for outdoor and adventure-loving patrons.”
Support
Guaranteed Irish encourages consumers to support local businesses when shopping. Membership is open to indigenous and international companies in Ireland, across all commercial sectors. Regatta was launched in Ireland in 2003 with a concession in Wexford, before opening its first standalone store in Limerick in 2011.
Two years later, in 2013, Regatta Great Outdoors Ireland was formally registered as an Irish company. Today, from its headquarters in Cork, the business oversees a nationwide network of 36 stores and concessions alongside its online platform. It works with a wide range of local suppliers, from shopfitters and tradespeople to utility providers.
