The Economic Evidence Clearinghouse: An open access resource
The Economic Evidence Clearinghouse (EEC) is a platform created by CAOT to help demonstrate the value of occupational therapy services in a context where decision-makers need clear and accessible evidence. The goal is to promote the profession with resources that demonstrate the value of investments in occupational therapy solutions. Specifically, the EEC seeks to strengthen the collective capacity of the profession, using an approach that involves all appropriate stakeholders both within and outside the profession.
The EEC aims to showcase the potential of the profession through three distinct but complementary objectives:
ENGAGEMENT : That the members of the profession can effectively engage with the economic evidence for occupational therapy services.
RIGOUR : That the economic case to be made is strong.
ADVOCACY : That the profession is able to effectively communicate its economic evidence case to relevant policy-makers and stakeholders.
The EEC is a resource platform you can rely on and use as needed to develop your practice and our profession.
