Overseas airlines schedule new flights to Laos

Laos is set to benefit from more air links with neighbouring countries and regional travel hubs, with new and expanded services connecting Vientiane and Luang Prabang with Phnom Penh, Singapore and Bangkok.

The new flights will provide more travel options for businesspeople, tourists and officials, supporting trade, tourism and general people-to-people links.

Air Cambodia, the national airline of Cambodia, will launch direct flights between Phnom Penh and Vientiane from December 15, 2026, operating on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, according to Aero Laos and Air Cambodia.

The new route between the two capital cities will bolster both business and tourism between Laos and Cambodia.

Meanwhile, Scoot, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, is increasing its services between Singapore and Vientiane from three to five flights a week starting on October 25.

The new services are aimed at meeting growing travel demand and improving connectivity between Laos and other ASEAN countries, particularly for tourists and business operators.
