The State Digital Development Agency (SDDA) announces a qualification stage for the procurement of the development, implementation, and maintenance of the European Union Digital Identity Wallet (EUDIW). The aim of the solution is to create a universal and secure access mechanism for digital services in the public and private sectors to ensure compliance with Regulation (EU) 2024/1183 (eIDAS 2.0) of the European Parliament and of the Council.

The EUDIW will be a single digital identity solution that will provide citizens across the European Union with:

a convenient place to store and manage personal documents – passports, driver's licenses, diplomas, powers of attorney, and other certificates;

secure authentication and electronic signing on mobile devices;

digital payment functionality in public e-services;

a unified platform for communication with public authorities, integrated with the e-address system.

Users will control who they share their data with and in what situations, ensuring maximum security and privacy.

EUDIW will provide a unified, secure, and convenient identity verification solution throughout the European Union, reduce the administrative burden on citizens and businesses, and promote the development of the digital economy and trust in digital services.
