Supports Special Needs Athletes on Their Journey to Success Supports Special Needs Athletes on Their Journey to Success Since the beginning of the 2026 Selangor State Team selection process, Secret Recipe Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. has proudly served as the main sponsor for young special needs athletes from Special Education Integration Programme (PPKI) schools across Selangor. Today, 15 October 2026, a flag handover ceremony was held to inspire and motivate these dedicated athletes as they prepare to represent Selangor at the state-level competition in Kuantan next month. The ceremony symbolises unity, determination, and the unwavering spirit of these exceptional young athletes as they prepare to take on the next stage of their sporting journey. MBPJ Community Gotong-Royong & Sustainability Programme MBPJ Community Gotong-Royong & Sustainability Programme Secret Recipe Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. (SRM) was pleased to support a community gotong-royong programme organised by the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) at Kampung Selamat, with participants gathering at the grounds of Surau As-Salam. As part of Secret Recipe's commitment to supporting community well-being, environmental awareness and sustainable practices, Secret Recipe contributed 200 Chocolate Muffins to be distributed to the participants, along with 100 packs of SR Compost produced through our food-waste composting initiative. The programme brought together approximately 150 community participants, local stakeholders and supporting agencies to promote a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable community environment. Beyond the clean-up activities, the distribution of SR Compost also helped introduce the concept of a circular economy and responsible food-waste management, demonstrating how organic food waste can be transformed into a useful resource for the community. Malaysia Cleanup Day 2026 MBSJ Level Malaysia Cleanup Day 2026 MBSJ Level Malaysia Cleanup Day 2026 was held on 26 September 2026 around the MBSJ Hall and surrounding areas of Pasar Moden SS15, Subang Jaya. The main focus of the cleanup activity was to encourage the community to work together to keep the surrounding area clean while promoting better waste management and recycling practices. As part of Secret Recipe’s commitment to supporting community and sustainability initiatives, Secret Recipe Manufacturing sponsored 360 muffins for the participants involved in the gotong-royong activities. This year’s Malaysia Cleanup Day aims to collectively achieve a target of 28 tonnes of recyclable materials, encouraging everyone to play an active role in reducing waste and keeping communities clean. Understanding Our Rivers - River Monitoring Survey Understanding Our Rivers - River Monitoring Survey On 22 September, Secret Recipe had a group of volunteers took part in a river monitoring survey at Air Hijau, MARDI, hosted by Eco Lestari. We learnt about Sungai Klang and the importance of rivers for society, including how we depend on 97 percent of our water from rivers, as well as the processes involved before it is made ready for our use and after discharge. Secret Recipe team also took part in some of the survey tests, such as observing the physical appearance and sounds, before using aquatic life as bioindicators to determine its quality. Project-Based Learning Showcase at SK Bandar Sri Damansara 3 Project-Based Learning Showcase at SK Bandar Sri Damansara 3 On 13th August, Secret Recipe was invited to SK Bandar Sri Damansara 3's Project-Based Learning Showcase, a bazaar featuring several brands showcasing their initiatives, ranging from organic farming to aquaponics. Secret Recipe sponsored 105 potted plants and 300 packets of compost for the event, which was attended by over 1,000 visitors. Secret Recipe also supported Tumasek by sponsoring vegetable samples and crop saplings, such as curry leaves and lemongrass. Bhd. was honoured to be part of the MSS Selangor Special Education Athletics Championship 2026, held at Stadium Utama Kuala Selangor. Running daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the championship brought together special education athletes, dedicated teachers, and supporters from across Selangor for four inspiring days of competition, determination, and celebration. The event was officially officiated by Datin Wan Nor Ashikin, Director of the Selangor State Education Department, whose presence highlighted the importance of creating inclusive opportunities for students with special educational needs to shine through sports. Pantai Kelanang Beach Clean-Up Initiative Pantai Kelanang Beach Clean-Up Initiative Today, on 15 July, a group of 20 of Secret Recipe team gathered at Pantai Kelanang for a beach clean-up activity. Under the supervision of Eco Lestari, Secret Recipe were divided into teams to cover different areas of the beach and clear various types of trash and rubbish that had washed ashore. It was a long but fulfilling event, where Secret Recipe not only collected waste but also segregated it accordingly. In total, team managed to collect 99.6kg of waste, with 50kg of it being recyclable materials. Seeing the amount of waste collected highlights the significant impact each individual can have on the environment. It reminds us that we must take ownership of our actions and make conscious choices to protect the future of our planet. With Malaysia ranked among the top five most polluting countries in the world and each person generating an average of 2.26kg of waste annually, it is crucial for everyone to play their part in reducing environmental impact. PPKI District-Level Sports Day 2026 PPKI District-Level Sports Day 2026 On 7 July 2026, Secret Recipe was honoured to support the PPKI District-Level Sports Day by sponsoring 600 muffins for the participants and everyone involved in making the event a success. The event was more than just a sports competition; it was a celebration of determination, courage, and the unique abilities of children with special educational needs. PJ Fun Learning Day PJ Fun Learning Day PJ Fun Learning Day is an interactive educational program designed to provide children with a meaningful learning experience through hands-on activities, creative exploration, and collaborative play. The initiative focuses on developing key skills such as critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, communication, and motor coordination through activities including STEM workshops, arts and crafts, sensory play, and strategic games. The program will also feature community and corporate participation through strategic partnerships. Participation in LUAS Hari Air Sedunia & Hari Rendah Karbon 2026 Participation in LUAS Hari Air Sedunia & Hari Rendah Karbon 2026 Secret Recipe Manufacturing proudly participated in Sambutan Hari Air Sedunia & Hari Rendah Karbon 2026, organized by Lembaga Urus Air Selangor (LUAS) on 13 June 2026. As part of our commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement, Secret Recipe Manufacturing contributed a cash sponsorship of RM2,000, 300 pieces of muffins and 60 bags of compost for distribution to event visitors and participants. Taman Rimba Ilmu Gotong-Royong Programme Taman Rimba Ilmu Gotong-Royong Programme At the Taman Rimba Ilmu Botanical Gardens at the University of Malaya, a team of 15 volunteers took part in a gotong-royong programme organised by one of the garden's caretakers, who is also a teacher at the facility under the Ecology course. We were given a tour of the garden and learned a great deal about the endemic trees grown there, many of which had been rescued from areas undergoing development. We also gained a deeper understanding of the importance of preserving our natural biodiversity through the visit. Afterwards, we spent several hours participating in various gardening activities, including weeding, applying fertiliser to marked saplings, and securing signboards around the garden. The event concluded with another garden tour and a tasting session featuring samples from the herbal and fruit trees grown on site. It was a wonderful experience for all of us, fostering a greater appreciation for nature while also promoting teamwork and camaraderie. Secret Recipe’s Wildlife Conservation Experience Secret Recipe’s Wildlife Conservation Experience On the 13th of April, Secret Recipe participated in a program hosted and coordinated by Eco Lestari, an environmental NGO that organizes various eco-related events. Our first activity was visiting the Sungai Dusun Wildlife Conservation Center, a wildlife center supported by Eco Lestari and managed by Perhilitan Selangor. Their main focus is the care and conservation of tapirs, helping to breed them and monitor their population in the area, as they are threatened by human conflict such as habitat loss and poaching. Secret Recipe had the opportunity to take part in feeding the tapirs in their care and joined an educational jungle trek where various camera traps and even a poacher trap on display. Secret Recipe also participated in tree planting. Elderly, The Face of Our Future Elderly, The Face of Our Future The Elderly Day Celebration took place with the theme “Elderly, The Face of Our Future” to honor the contributions of senior citizens. The celebration was held on November 29, 2025, at the Golden Palm Tree Resort and was organized by the Sepang Municipal Council and the Nenda Welfare Club. The event was officiated by Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, wife of Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim. Secret Recipe was proud to be part of this event, helping to bring joy to the participants. As part of our commitment to sustainability and zero waste, we distributed muffins and organic compost free of charge to the elderly attendees. This initiative not only brought smiles to their faces but also supported efforts toward a greener environment.
