Conservation Focus

More Than Just Instructor Training

We built this IDC around the idea that divers can make a significant impact on ocean conservation. Beyond earning your instructor certification, you’ll gain the knowledge and credentials to teach others about marine protection. Our partnership with the Perry Institute for Marine Science means you’ll learn from leading coral restoration specialists and train at actual coral nurseries in Bahamian waters.

5 Specialty Instructor Certifications Included

Reef Rescue Diver (Coral Restoration Distinctive Specialty) with the Reef Rescue Network

Dive Against Debris

AWARE Shark Conservation

Sea Turtle Awareness

Emergency Oxygen Provider

Real-World Impact

Hands-On Conservation Training

This isn’t just classroom theory. You’ll gain real-world experience in conservation efforts that directly support coral reef ecosystems. Working alongside Perry Institute for Marine Science coral restoration specialists, you’ll learn coral nursery maintenance techniques and outplanting methods.

PIMS coral restoration: nursery maintenance, coral ID, and outplanting in The Bahamas.

Plus Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI)

As part of your IDC, you’ll also become a certified Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI). This essential qualification allows you to teach CPR, first aid, and emergency care in diving contexts and beyond.
