Moderator Forum Q&A Panel
What is ESG + CSR and how to manage address conflict of interest and consistency while managing potential and existing community and green washing?
Possible Questions & Answers
How well does governments, corporates, ngos, schools understand what ESG and CSR are?
Why is the take up on ESG seen to be slow while there is a target for 2030 to turn buildings, townships and cities into green, smart and sustainable living environment and for businesses;
How are the governments helping with energy, water, waste, air emission and management systems with residents and companies?
Where are the successful stories for ESG projects that can be shared globally or nationally?
What is the difference between tree planting and forest planting?
How does one manage net zero and carbon zero or something else that is even more important if there are any?
How does COP works?
How does one manage community and green washing that is free from conflict of interest (including oil and gas companies, gambling companies, cigarette companies etc.)?
How does one be green as an individual and green as an organisation?
Where would be the areas that everyone can start with first on ESG initiatives to help be the transformative change maker?
What are the policies on landfills and workings of incinerators?
What are the other policies on plastic, food waste, energy, water, cigarette butts etc.? (if any). How are they tracked and that can be audited and recognised independently?
Why are there so few countries listed as carbon neutral countries? Only Panama, Guyana, Gabon, Bhutan, Suriname, Niue, Comoros, Madagascar when there are some 195 countries in the world? Are we able to even address this climate change crisis issue?
Is carbon offset here to stay?

Current site
Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve, Puchong (Compartment 15)
The forest reserve has held gazetted status since 1906, marking it as a longstanding area of conservation. Spanning 1182.1 hectares, it stands as the largest in-situ conservation zone within the Klang Valley. In 1996, a significant development occurred when it was leased to UPM for 99 years, extending until 2095. This move has facilitated ongoing management and preservation efforts. Moreover, the reserve attained classification as an Education and Research Forest in 2009, highlighting its dual role in fostering academic pursuits and ecological preservation.
