BISHWO RAM KHADKA
“Meeting Anuradha Koirala was the turning point of my life.”
Mr. Bishwo Ram Khadka’s journey with Maiti Nepal began in 1994, when a chance encounter with Anuradha Koirala at a friend’s birthday gathering deeply inspired him. At the time, Mr. Khadka was exploring career opportunities after completing his bachelor’s degree, running a handicraft business and working at Nepal Electricity Authority, but still felt unfulfilled.
Moved by Ms. Koirala’s resolute commitment to protecting women and children from violence and exploitation, he visited Maiti Nepal’s modest office in Pingalasthan. Witnessing her relentless advocacy and the realities faced by trafficking survivors ignited his desire to contribute.
