Why Childhood Obesity Prevention Matters
Our Champion and Coalition Members SPEAK UP!
True change begins when a community decides that the health of its children is non-negotiable. Through the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados, we are not just advocating for policy, we are building a legacy of wellness. Our coalition members stand at the forefront of the Childhood Obesity Prevention (COP) program, ensuring every child in Barbados has access to the nutritious environment they deserve. From the classroom to the boardroom, we are speaking up to protect one of our most precious resources: our children.
Policies enabling a healthy school environment in our schools are a vital investment in the health and well being of today's youth and that of future generations.
Mrs. Nicole Foster Chair of Child Obesity Prevention Coalition
Artificial sugars are bad for our children's bodies. Schools, inclusive of the vendors, must be institutions of wellness, not only academic wellness but physical wellness.
