Family Planning is the practice of controlling the number of children in a family, as well as the intervals between their births, by the use of contraception (birth control).
The goal of the HSA is to ensure that women are protected and empowered through careful family planning, ensuring the decline of sexually transmitted diseases and the reduction of pregnancy complications.
The Women’s Health team at the HSA provides educational advice on the various contraceptive methods available, assists with selecting, as well as provides the most suitable and effective method for each patient, with a view to ensuring healthy outcomes, and reducing risks that may occur before, during or after childbirth.
