Following his qualification as an Ophthalmologist in 1990, Dr Joffe relocated to Namibia and served as Head Ophthalmologist at Windhoek Central Hospital from 1991 to 1995. With the vast experience he gained during this time, he established his own private practice in 1995.
His keen interest in IT provided a framework for his pioneering work in the field of refractive surgery. From 1998 to 2000, he traveled with his patients to Cape Town for Excimer laser procedures before performing Namibia’s first such procedures in 2000. Dr Joffe was a keen triathlete, marathon runner & squash player.
His dedication to general ophthalmology, and special interest in cataract and refractive work, as well as anterior segment surgery, enables him to offer state of the art procedures, including:
Premium and multifocal intraocular lens implantation following Femto laser assisted cataract surgery
Excimer laser refractive surgery (trans-PRK)
Corneal transplants, including the latest in lamellar surgery (DALK & DMEK)
