Brief History
Journey through the evolution of electrical services and power generation
1921
Established bearing the name of Electrical Office under the auspicious of the Public Works Department providing electricity power to its first consumer, the wireless and telegraph department.
1950
Kianggeh Diesel Power Station started operating.
1953
Electrical Service Office upgraded to Electrical Department and started supplying electricity to the whole of Brunei Town.
