Positive Credit Reporting
The Cook Islands Credit Bureau has commenced the testing of positive reporting on the Cook Islands system. The new feature is being developed to provide consumers with a history of their repayments. From the time a loan or hire purchase is started, the lender can update each month the progress of the consumers loan repayments. Consumers that consistently meet their repayments will create a positive report, and this can be used to support their next application for credit.
