The Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is a cornerstone of business development in the Baltics. It represents over 8,000 members across all sectors and regions of Latvia. Established in 1934, LCCI has over 90 years of experience. It continues to serve as the voice of Latvian entrepreneurs and is the country’s largest business association.
1. Strategic Vision and Core Mission
LCCI’s mission focuses on supporting Latvian entrepreneurs through advocacy and business development services. Its vision is to position Latvia among the EU’s top 10 business environments. This goal supports broader European efforts to build competitive, export-ready enterprises across member states.
The chamber’s work focuses on three key areas:
Improving the business environment
Enhancing enterprise competitiveness
Supporting export growth
2. European and Global Connectivity
LCCI demonstrates its commitment to European integration through active membership in EUROCHAMBRES and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) . These connections give Latvian businesses access to pan-European networks and cross-border initiatives that strengthen economic ties across Europe.
The Explore Latvia initiative promotes Latvia as a business destination for international partners and investors. It highlights the country’s strategic advantages, such as:
Location in Northern Europe
Dynamic economy
Skilled workforce
Modern infrastructure
It especially focuses on sectors like ICT, manufacturing, logistics, and green energy. These are all aligned with EU priorities for sustainable growth.
3. Building International Partnerships
The Global Partnerships programme helps Latvian exporters reach new markets. LCCI works with international chambers, trade organisations, and diplomatic missions. It organises business delegations, trade missions, and networking events to build economic diplomacy and bilateral relations.
