Starting a business

Obtaining a Business License
Persons operating a business are required to apply to the Ministry of Finance for a Business Licence. Once the application is approved, the required fee is sent to the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) for payment. Upon receipt of the payment the IRD issues a business certificate which the business owner is required to display in the place of business.
Application fees vary according to the nature of the business and are affected by factors such as stock value.
All licences are valid until December 31st of the year received and must be renewed annually at the Inland Revenue Department.
